This Privacy Policy describes how SwingSnap collects, uses, processes, shares, and protects Your information when You use the SwingSnap mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Interpretation and Definitions

1.1 Interpretation

Capitalized terms have the meanings assigned to them in this Policy.

1.2 Definitions

  • Account means the unique profile created for You to access the Service.
  • Application means the mobile application titled “SwingSnap – AI Golf Swing Analyzer.”
  • Company, We, Us, or Our means SJ Ventures, a company registered in the Netherlands, with registered office at Jacob van Lennepstraat 31-1A, 1053HB Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
  • Device means any device used to access the Service.
  • Personal Data means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to an individual.
  • Golf Swing / Performance Data means information You provide relating to Your golf game, swing videos, performance metrics (club speed, swing path, angles, tempo, scores, handicap), body measurements, or other golf-related data.
  • Usage Data means data collected automatically, including device information, activity logs, and analytics data.
  • User Content means swing videos, photos, notes, or other inputs You upload or submit through the Service.
  • Website means swingsnap.io.
  • You means the individual using the Service.

2. Types of Data We Collect

2.1 Personal Data You Provide

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Optional profile details (handicap, playing level, etc.)

2.2 Golf Swing / Performance Data

To provide AI swing analysis we collect:

  • Swing videos and photos You upload
  • Performance metrics generated by the AI (speed, angles, path, face angle, tempo, etc.)
  • Any other golf-related data You choose to enter into the Application

2.3 User Content (Including Videos & Photos)

User Content includes swing videos, photos, and notes.

Important: We may use anonymized or aggregated swing videos and images to improve Our AI models and product features. We do not associate such data with Your identity for internal development.

To generate Your swing analysis and AI coaching responses, Your swing videos, performance data, and AI-coach chat messages are sent to and processed by Google LLC’s Gemini AI model, via Google’s Firebase AI Logic (Google Cloud Vertex AI) service. This processing is separate from the anonymized/aggregated use described in Section 3.3 below, and happens each time You request an analysis or use the AI coach.

2.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect:

  • Device type, operating system, and app version
  • IP address
  • Time stamps and activity logs
  • Crash data
  • Feature usage analytics
  • Performance data

2.5 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Website and Application use cookies, tags, and similar technologies for analytics, functionality, and security.

3. How We Use Your Data

3.1 To Provide and Improve the Service

  • AI-powered golf swing analysis and personalized feedback
  • Account management
  • Service stability and debugging

3.2 To Generate Your Personalized Analysis

Your swing videos and AI-coach messages are sent to Google LLC’s Gemini AI model (via Firebase AI Logic / Google Cloud Vertex AI) to generate the feedback and coaching responses You receive. See Section 2.3 for details.

3.3 To Improve AI Models

  • We may separately use anonymized or aggregated swing videos and images (not associated with Your identity) to improve Our own AI models and product features.

3.4 Communications

  • Service updates and customer support

Promotional emails (You can opt out at any time).

3.6 Legal and Compliance

Fraud prevention, legal obligations, and protection of Our rights.

3.7 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

Where applicable, We rely on: consent, contract performance, legitimate interests (service improvement, security), or legal obligations.

5. How We Share Personal Data

We share Personal Data only with:

  • Google LLC, to process Your swing videos and AI-coach chat messages via Google’s Firebase AI Logic (Google Cloud Vertex AI) service, in order to generate Your swing analysis and coaching feedback
  • Other service providers (cloud hosting, analytics, etc.) under strict data processing agreements
  • In case of business transfers
  • When legally required

We do not sell Your Personal Data.

6. User Content and License Rights

By submitting User Content, You grant the Company a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, store, process, and create derivative works from Your User Content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service (including anonymized AI model training).

We do not publicly display Your private swing videos or content without Your express consent.

7. Retention of Data

We retain Personal Data and Golf Swing / Performance Data for as long as Your Account is active or as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by law. We delete or anonymize data when no longer needed.

8. Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed on servers outside the EEA. We implement appropriate safeguards as required by GDPR (e.g., standard contractual clauses).

9. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR)

You may have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, data portability, objection to processing, and withdrawal of consent.

Exercise these rights via in-app settings or by contacting Us.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is 100% secure.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in Your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

12. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are independent of Ours.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
